Its that time of the year where politics is just around the corner. the room-to-room campaigns of the dreamers, the "suntok sa buwan" projects, the unbelievable campaign speeches, the heated arguments, the neverending debates, and the either vague or impressive answers to questions.

Everyone has only one goal and that is to WIN! I had the same feeling same time last year. All the backstabbing, the "batuhan ng putik", the late night practice speeches in hidden areas inside and outside the university, the goosebumps and adrenalin rush. All of these I myself have experienced.

Two things are for sure, there's a winner and there's a loser. And I experienced both, Losing way back on my first year in college when I run for P.R.O. (against a very good friend of mine, Tabby) taught me important lessons and made me realize a lot of things. That incident taught me that Losing makes a better person, It taught me how to stand up on my own feet and continue with life, it taught me to be a tougher person if ever i'll be in the same situation again in the future, it taught me how to appreciate my own strengts and weaknesses including my imperfections. basta marami.

Losing itself in its ugliest form made me realize that in politics you don't have permanent friends only enemies, this happens when you let yourself be engulfed by the spirit and pride of your own political party. Seriously, way back in highschool I was not really well versed with such things, I just happen to join the glee club and the theater club. Politics for me was a no no. For me Politicians are mere liars and users. because when they get into postion it seems that there's no turning back. Good thing though I was raised morally principled and with fear of the Lord. Thanks, I was raised up this way.

Smelling the aroma of victory is one of the most important things i've experienced during this college life, and I will surely miss when I graduate in a few weeks time. Just like Losing It taught me a lot. Winning the election have been the cherry on top of my 2007. But it was not an easy task being the Vice President External of the society. Leading a near to 300 student body, a struggling graduating student that I am absorbs all the expectations and pressures, and being a role model for the members of the society indeed was not an easy task.
As the person who likes to pre-empt things and being the natural spoiler that I am, I am going to post my fearless forecast for this up-and-coming bes society elections. (For those candidates who would to read this relax and be calm, respect my right to freedom of expression into this blogoshpere).
**The information indicated below doesn't really reflect what I will most likely supply my ballot this coming elections.
PRESIDENT:
It's really hard to choose between the two.
Arden is charismatic, kind, and knows how to answer questions but doesn't have enough experience (w/in the society) to boast.
Benedict, has an experience to boast for, kind enough, diligent (dean's lister), but lacks charisma with the lower years.
VICE-PRESIDENT EXTERNAL:
I could say that it would be Denise Concepcion.
VICE-PRESIDENT INTERNAL:
Another position that would be different to decide on.
Hazel, just like Benedict has the experience and the diligence, and I could say obedience. However, she lacks that certain amount of self-control with her choice of words in reference to some of her outgoing and incumbent officers (proven by some instances), and a little bit of being too emotional at times.
Michael on the other hand, has the diligence and kindness needed. but hasn't held any position within the executive board compared to his opponent. And I personally haven't worked with him yet, so its really unfair to judge him quickly.
SECRETARY:
It would be Khiara Agnote
TREASURER:
I don't have any idea who to choose, but based from my observations and chit-chats with certain people, It would be Trish Gimenez.
AUDITOR:
I assume it would be Jam Ressurecion.
PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
I think it would be Khrisie Tongio.

Bes Soc Elections: Fearless Forecast (not for the faint hearted)

My Christmas Wishlist!

Its that time of the year when everyone is happy, everyone is preparing for that one special day, all the lights and sounds, the catchy beats, the cool surrounding air, the colorful packages and gifts, the feast. And for the second time i'm making my wishlist. Christmas is not only for kids but for me also.

1. Ipod Touch - every music lovers oxygen tank, and singers' lifeblood
2. As I Am Album of Alicia Keys - the 9-time Grammy winning R&B superstar's 3rd studio album
3. A "pogi" planner - since i don't have the resources and the coffeeholism needed i can't afford that one of starbucks'
4. A wi-fi router - so that wireless heaven could be made possible at home
5. Any spiderman collectible - an addition to my growing collection.

So for those who would read this, better check your pockets and be ready christmas will be very soon.

Blurred

After a record breaking 2 months of blog leave, here i am again fearless and roaring! no one can stop me of blogging of almost all things you could imagine. well what's new with me? let's see, besides a fresh semester, there nothing more you could think of (very ironic with the title of this blog). I have so many plans in the coming months, since it would be the last 5 months in the university i'll surely miss a lot when time comes for work or for graduate studies

Honestly up to this point i still need to weigh my priorities and plan my life, the vision of the future is blurred. I know that if I work immediately after graduation, I would be a forever helpless and routined slave, based from the experiences i had when i was an intern in two companies last summer, I promised myself i will not land on a job as routinary and as boring as it is. Sorry for being so lame... Anyways I still have some months to decide.

Another option for me would be to enroll to graduate studies. This is so good to know..the options are so limitless and interesting. If ever i intend to pursue such, i would limit myself into two universities only. About the course to take..hmm..If i'll be going to go with the flow..i would take up masters in human resource, industrial or organizational psychology, or mba. but other things also interests me like taking up dev't psyche (there's a part of me who wants to be a child psychologist of some sort), media studies (the zigzag world of media is of my interests), social psyche(i want to prove that psychology is a science just like physics and other fields in the natural sciences taking from the work of Dr. Solomon Asch of UPenn) yah! I know I am very ambitious. There's also a part of me who wants a post-grad degree in marketing and advertising because consumer psychology/behavior also interests me. I am a walking confusion of alot of things

I know, i know in months with God's guidance and with the help of my rational thinking and my mentors in UST. I wcould finally decide what to do after graduation, because af of the moment as i mentioned earlier Life after graduation for me is still unclear like choosing between three openings in a cave. You don't know where it will bring you.
