Responsibilty as a Citizen of the Republic

Oh! this entry is so outdated, actually i intentionally left it unpublished so that i can organize my thoughts more for a longer time, and besides, the past weeks has been hell to me (as if i have a choice!?)

mag-register ka! its your responsibility!

It was on my political dynamics class under sir tayao that i've learned how voting is considered to be a crime on other countries, he gave australia as an example, he said that there, "not voting is against the law", while here in our country the power to vote is just being taken for granted or worst, being ignored. the 2007 elections is fast approaching, so it's time to register, at first i thought that it would be easy, fill-out forms here, sign there etc. but long lines proved me wrong, the lines were so healthy it mimics an anaconda. all in all i took me three days after i got my stub (a shitty piece of paper, indicating that you are already a registered voter)..what made it worst was the employees' attitudes towards us, those people! so unpolite, so annoying, so rude i mean think of all the bad adjectives you can think of... another thing, the registration showed how filipino would say "mamaya na!" in his/her responsibilities or in other words our very famous maƱana habit, one employee exclaimed "ngayon kayo nagpupunta nuong mga nakaraang buwan walang katao-tao dito! (aray! natamaan ata ako dun ah!)... what was funny was that its an undeniable truth, if only i did listen to what my mom was telling me to register already..to avoid the long lines (tigas kasi nang ulo ko eh!), it was also my first time to get a police clearance (actually to see one also), the people from the station (police) were kind enough (i mean tollerable naman sila) compared to the people in the comelec office.
i went there with jac and alvin 2 of my highschool friends..
